GAD Conducts Livelihood Training on Selected Barangays

The Gender and Development (GAD) Office in cooperation with the College of Business Education (CBE) conducted a livelihood training in Salvador 1st and Bugnay, Candon City, Ilocos Sur on June 14, 2019.

Mr. Santos C. Sanchez, a TESDA Competency Assessor, was the resource person and trainer. He had given lectures and had shown demonstrations on how to create bubble mixes such as dishwashing liquids and fabric conditioners. Mr. Sanchez is also a faculty of the CBE teaching entrepreneurship courses.

The participants, whom majority are housewives, were given hands on experience on how to make dishwashing liquid and fabric conditioner. The Barangay Captains of the two barangays gave their gratitude and emphasized that the skills attained in the training will be beneficial to them personally and economically.

The GAD Office of the NLPSC is headed by Mrs. Olive Shower P. Basabas as the Director. The Office envisions the conduct of more trainings and seminars for this year.
