The ceremonial cutting of ribbon of the recently completed NLPSC e-Library was held on September 19, 2016 at 10:00 in the morning in celebration of the first year anniversary of Dr. Elizabeth M. Gacusana as the first SUC President I of NLPSC. 

Candon City Councilors Hon. Aileen Rhoda I. Acal, Hon. Ma. Charina F. Bona, and Hon Godofredo F. Abrero together with UNP President Dr. Gilbert R. Arce; and BOT Member Dr. Rogeline R. Gilera officially opened the two-storey NLPSC e-library Building which was followed by the unveiling of the marker assisted by NLPSC President Dr. Elizabeth M. Gacusana.

Candon City Officials & Dr. Arce Inaugurate NLPSC  E-Library Building

The ceremonial cutting of ribbon of the recently completed NLPSC e-Library was held on September 19, 2016 at 10:00 in the morning in celebration of the first year anniversary of Dr. Elizabeth M. Gacusana as the first SUC President I of NLPSC. 

Candon City Councilors Hon. Aileen Rhoda I. Acal, Hon. Ma. Charina F. Bona, and Hon Godofredo F. Abrero together with UNP President Dr. Gilbert R. Arce; and BOT Member Dr. Rogeline R. Gilera officially opened the two-storey NLPSC e-library Building which was followed by the unveiling of the marker assisted by NLPSC President Dr. Elizabeth M. Gacusana.

Afterwhich, Fr. Leo Inofinada blessed the whole building after the cutting of ribbon.  The inauguration was also witnessed by the NLPSC administrators/officials, faculty, staff, students, stakeholders, and other visitors.

The funds for the construction of the e-library building came from UNP for Phase-I amounting to 1,500,000.00; Phase-II was undertaken by FNDCC amounting to 3,400,00.00 from the FY 2011 PDAF allocation of former  Cong. Eric Owen G. Singson, former Representative of 2nd District of Ilocos Sur; Phase-III came from RA 7171 (District Share) through the initiative of Congressman Eric G. Singson amounting to 4,985,370.99 implemented by the Candon City Government through GIND Construction; and the funds for the completion (Phase-IV) of the project came from NLPSC 2015 Capital Outlay amounting to 6,603,503.06 implemented by ELOCIN Construction.

The e-library building houses the reading area of at least 250 seating capacity; Filipiniana, Circulation, Reference and Reserve Sections with a total of 7,547 volumes of books/print and 51 CDs and 56 video tapes for non-print; Serial section with 28 titles of magazines and journals and thee newspapers.  It also houses the Office of the College Librarian, AVR Room, Archives and Conference Room; stock room; and baggage counter.
