With the vision to heal as one, the North Luzon Philippines State College (NLPSC) provided support to the frontliners who are selflessly serving the region to combat the COVID-19 disease outbreak. Spearheaded by Dr Elizabeth M. Gacusana, who extended her support and guidance, volunteer employees of NLPSC were able to create 1,396 face shields in the span of five days.
Twenty-three (23) faculty members of the North Luzon Philippines State College were promoted through the full implementation of the National Budget Circular (NBC) 461 -7th Cycle. The 23 promoted faculty members took their oath on February 24, 2020, during the flag-raising ceremony of the College and was administered by President Elizabeth M. Gacusana.
To better serve its stakeholders, the North Luzon Philippines State College (NLPSC) has completed the rehabilitation of its gymnasium equipped with an air-conditioning unit. The project with an approved budget for the contract of Php 6,929,226.11 from General Appropriations Act (GAA) was completed on January 28, 2020. The rehabilitation includes the demolition and removal of the existing structure, painting, ceiling, metal, doors, windows, and roofing works.
The construction of the three-storey academic and laboratory building for the Criminal Justice Education (CJE) Department has been completed and is now on use. The P26.9-M building houses eight academic classrooms, one faculty room, and laboratory rooms to cater to the curricular needs of the program. The building is also equipped with a crime scene laboratory room, photography room, firing range room, and defense tactics room.
NLPSC bags three (3) golds in the just-concluded State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA)-I 2020 held at the Mariano Marcos State University on January 20-25, 2020. Ace Hipona, 22, a sophomore BSCS student, earned gold medals in 3k, 5k, and 10k categories. He is also the Most Valuable Player for the athletics event.
To be qualified to take the NLPSC-CAT, an applicant must belong to one of the following categories:
- Completed/completing Senior High School level of Education from the Department of Education-recognized and/or accredited secondary school.
- Those declared eligible for Admission to College after taking the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT)
- Transferees from accredited Higher Education Institutions.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs headed by Dr. Estrella C. Gaerlan together with Dr. Elizabeth M. Velasco, the Director for Instruction conducted an Orientation-Seminar on Instruction-Related Concerns for the part-time instructors for the 2nd Semester, School Year 2019-2020 on January 24, 2020, at the NLPSC Conference Room.
Dr. Elizabeth M. Gacusana is the reappointed President of the North Luzon Philippines State College. Congratulations!
North Luzon Philippines State College through the Office of the Medical-Dental Services, headed by the College Physician, Dr. Manuel D. Cadacio, and the College Nurse, Mr. Alex G. Ragucos, in cooperation with the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society (SISMS), led the annual celebration of Nutrition Month with this year’s theme: “Kumain nang Wasto at Maging Aktibo. Push Natin ‘To!” on July 16, 2019 at the College gymnasium.

The workshop which is organized by the Philippine Association of Universities and College (PASUC) in partnership with USAID through STRIDE Program aims to pre-test and validate the proposed PASUC-PISI Innovation Diagnostic Tool.
